Nostalgiathon Update!
We keep on getting entries in the Nostalgiathon 2012 series and I highly recommend you check them out! Recently added include The Goonies from Rogue the Girl, Night of the Creeps from Eric over at theipc and Labyrinth from Natalie Stendall. So give them some love and then write up your own Nostalgiathon entry!
And coming up next on Cinema Schminema is “I am Nancy”, Heather Langenkamp’s documentary about her days as Nancy in Nightmare on Elm Street and the documentary “Never Sleep Again” about the NoES series. And then I’ll finally get to my own Nostalgiathon entries (including Labyrinth, Return to Oz and Monster Squad).
Yay Nostalgiathon!

Yay, Nostalgiathon!
I really should join this, since, you know, you both join all my projects. Has anyone done ‘Krull’??
Yeah, seriously, you should, what’s up with that? 😉 And nope, no one has done it! Although even if someone had, you could still do it – everybody’s experiences with movies are different. 🙂
I’m sorry, I’m very selfish! I will try and sort something out 🙂
Yay!
Sounds like there are some really good things coming up! I’m going to reblog this at Before I Forget. 🙂
Thanks so much for reblogging! And yes, so far I think this project is going wonderfully. 🙂
Kudos to you! 🙂

Fancy taking part? Give it a go, it’s great fun! 🙂
Ooooo Heather LangenKamp — I always wondered what happened to her. She was so cute.
Yes, she was! I believe she and her husband run a movie effects company (like making monster stuff, makeup, etc.). Hopefully “I am Nancy” will offer more insight! 🙂
Return to Oz — good call!
LOVE that movie so much!! Used to make my mom rent it for me every week, lol.
I watched it quite a bit as a kid too! “I WHEEELLLLL”.
Monster Squad! I freakin love that film! Wolfman’s got nerts!!
This movie scared me so bad when I was 7 that I haven’t seen it since. I only have the vaguest memories of waiting up all night for Dracula to come and get me.
I will be interested in reading your review ‘I am Nancy’. I wonder what she looks like now. Believe it or not she is now 48! I remember she was also in a TV-show called ‘Just the Ten of Us’ about a high school basketball coach with 8 kids. Unfortunately it is not available on DVD, but it would be fun to see.
I *think* I’ve heard of that show. I watched “I am Nancy” last night and will be posting about it later today – was interesting but not necessarily informative.
Loving this Nostalgiathon entries. Would love to contribute for you all as it would allow me to take a break from shitty movie watching.
DO IT!!! There’s no time limit (I don’t think… ;)) and you can do anything (as long as the nostalgia factor is there) – DO IT!!! Save yourself from the world of inane cinema!! 😉
Has anyone chosen Roadhouse yet? Cause I absolutely would love to do one of my favorite bad/good movies. Also I totally want to be in one of those discussions things. Gives me a needed break from shitty movies. 🙂
I have not seen Roadhouse (but even if someone had chosen it you could still do it :)). So do it!! And for the discussion thing you need to head over to Head in a Vice because that was Ty’s creation. 🙂
You have to….HAVE TO…see Roadhouse. Shit I might just do a live tweet of that masterpiece just cause it is awesome. Also I will contact Ty to see if I can get in on that sweet sweet debate stuff. I mean I did debate for 7 years in high school and college. It calls to me in some nerd way.
I’ve seen Roadhouse! It’s just been awhile. 🙂 I meant, I hadn’t seen anyone choose it. So yes, live tweet it, review it and yay! Nice. I can argue with a brick wall about anything but a debater I am not.
Oh thank god you have seen Roadhouse, I just about had a mini heart attack. Sweet, I will get something up for Roadhouse, both a review and live tweet session if needed (it will be needed).
My formative years in high school were spent debating and as a forensics kid. Yeah, I was super popular.
