I HAVE INTERNET!!!!!! I am back amongst the living!! Still no power at my house so I have been staying with friends for the past couple of days but they didn’t have internet back till today. No idea when my house will be back up and running. We’re hoping it’s by Wednesday like promised since we have another storm coming in Wednesday/Thursday.
Me and mine were far luckier than a lot of people but it’s been a rough week. Gas is running out in Jersey, there’s food shortages, there’s been some looting…it’s going to take awhile to recover.

As for me, personally, since I work from home and have been powerless for a week, I haven’t been able to work so that’s the first thing I have to catch up on. After that, I’ll be working my way back here to blogging so expect me to start popping up in comments again. I’ll be finishing my run of the Nightmare series and then it’s on to Nostalgiathon 2012!!!! If you aren’t yet familiar, here’s the 411 (and I am copying this directly from Andy Watches Movies for times’ sake):

NOSTALGIATHON 2012
In what originated as a flippant remark between Misty of Cinema Schminema and me, Nostalgiathon is finally here.
Allow me to explain!
The purpose of Nostalgiathon is to relive things from your childhood through the eyes of an adult. Since Andy Watches Movies and Cinema Schminema are both movie-focused blogs, we will be covering movies, but books, TV shows, whatever else are all fair game if you’d like to participate.
“How do I participate?” you may be wondering…It’s easy!
- If you want to write a post for Nostalgiathon, just put the words “Nostalgiathon” in the title of the post and write a little bit about your feelings of the source material as a kid and how it holds up now
- Use the following badge within the post http://andywatchesmovies.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/nostalgiathon1.jpg
- Link back to this post here on Andy Watches Movies (or the corresponding post on Cinema Schminema once she gets her power back)

Thank you!! And they look like that because here it’s basically the zombie apocalypse without the zombie part. It’s pretty crazy. And thanks, I hope we get internet and power back at my house soon too! Right now, me and the pupster are refugee’ing it.

Thanks! Yeah, that’s what my local grocery store currently looks like. You should see the gas lines and all the rules that have gone into affect. Mostly staying inside and just hoping it will all be okay.

So far yes. Let’s hope it stays controlled. I only got power back today (8 days without) and tons of people still don’t have power and we have a nor’easter hitting us in approximately 2 days. Very exciting times…

I am immediately regretting this decision after the first movie.

haha good point. Well I am four movies in and trying to knock out a couple more tonight and tomorrow. I am heading to Dallas, TX for a wedding and film festival coverage so I have to literally marathon several of these a day and get them write-ups

Well I happen to be in Dallas around the same time as the wedding I am going to. I know one of the festival directors and she is passing along some VIP passes to a few films. I am hoping to see them and get a few reviews done for them. In Feb. will be big festival coverage with the True False Fest. All documentary and non-fiction films will be screened there and I totally me Ti West and Morgan Spurlock last year 😀

It’s time to quit this whole “hurricane” crutch – time to get back to work on CS.
Blah, blah, vampire emergency, blah. In other words, yeah, yeah, no more “hurricane” crutch, back to my regularly scheduled no eating or sleeping or living ways. ;-p
You make me sound like some kind of monster!!!!! All I ask for is some more CS….. 8 ( I will cry myself to sleep tonight……
*giggles* E., you know I love you in that strictly platonic, if we were actually in the same state and hung out, we’d drink a whole bunch of beer way! No crying yourself to sleep. And CS is on its way back. Promise. Also a certain review for you and some other things we have discussed will be forthcoming. A week of no power leaves one with plenty of time to do things like write and catch up on reading! 🙂
