FrightFest and Frankenstorm
FrightFest 2012 @ Great Adventure
This is where I was for 14 hours yesterday. Went out for my friend’s birthday and had an absolutely fantabulous time. If you’ve never had a chance to go, it’s pretty sweet when it gets dark and the zombies come out and the haunted trails, etc. aren’t half bad either (especially Insanity Gears of the Mind, holy moly, that chainsaw dude was scary!). Anyway, fun was had by all and right now I am working off 4 hours of sleep.
I’m also busy getting ready for Frankenstorm!! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a hurricane meeting a nor’easter that’s supposed to hit where I live either tonight or tomorrow. Yay. They’re predicting it’s going to be really bad but the roomies, puppies and I are as prepared as we can be. There’s a strong likelihood that we’ll lose power for a few days to a week though so I might not be around. If it starts going on two weeks and I’ve not been by…well…Regardless, everyone else who might be in an area that’s going to be hit – stay safe!!! And if I don’t get a chance to be here before then, Happy Halloween everybody!!!!

Thanks, E! We are as prepared as we possibly can be – tons of food, generator, gas grill, etc. And we have two kayaks and a canoe if we need to boat outta here.

Thanks Drew! We have plans and emergency plans so I *think* we’ll be okay. Just wish it would hurry up and get here so we can quit waiting and just deal with it.

I know a guy, he’s known as ‘driver’ and if needs be he could rescue you and drive you to safety very quickly. Unless you dont like a certain film then he wouldnt bother……….but you love it, right?!

It was pretty awesome. Most of the time it’s just a regular amusement park with tons of roller coasters but add in the fright and it rocks! And thank you!
