So Yeah, I Missed Acting

This has nothing to do with movies as I’m still technically on hiatus but tonight was opening night of my show and it’s nearly one in the morning and I’m still got a post-show high. 😉 We had a small audience but we totally rocked it and we’ve gotten high praise so far. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed acting but oh I did.

We’re in the paper! 😉

Program!

Our amazing cast

Post show high and post show exhaustion

Okay, thanks for indulging my silly starry dreamy state of happy.  I will see you all again on Monday!  ❤

About mistylayne

I'm a Z movie loving, horror hound, Buffy quoting, Dr. Who watching, geekazoid and seeker of all things unusual. I'm a gypsy wanderer, lover of words, Wendy of the damned and all that jazz. What can I say? I'm complicated.

  1. There is nothing better than those couple hours after a show. All those excess emotions and nerves, and the occasional food from the post show meal. Glad everything went well and that you’ve received some praise for the show.

    • I know, right? It’s so amazing. What did I do for six years without this, lol?? Thanks! And there were cheese fries post show so it was awesome. 😉

      • Six years without stressful rehearsals and rewarding performances sounds like a boring six years indeed. Fries and a burger always made me a happy camper after a show. Even if it was midnight.

      • It was terribly boring and now I realize exactly why I was so sad. 😉 Any kind of food is welcome after a show! 🙂

  2. The theater is a magical place. In a internet and cinema dominated world, it’s good to hear people still get excited about performing in and watching plays. Good to hear the show went well.

  3. Awesome! I used to act back in high school. Got the lead twice back then. That after show feeling was awesome. But I would have dreams before the plays that I forgot all the lines on stage. A horrifying feeling that was. Glad to see you are doing something you love!

  4. Huuuuge congratulations honey!!!!

  5. There is nothing more satisfying than finding an old friend that you thought you’d lost long ago. In this case, the treading of the boards and that irreplaceable feeling of ‘doing it live’ and the immediate terror and ecstasy of getting it right! Great news and I hope it continues!! 🙂

  6. Sounds like you had a great time:) Congrats!~

And.........Action!
